PHARMACOLOGY-I [PHLG 321]

This course is designed to introduce the student to the general principles of pharmacology with regard to the general pharmacological terms and the principles of drugs’ administration, absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion. It also deals with the drugs’ actions and mechanisms. It covers all aspects of the autonomic nervous system and autacoids. The practical part of the course deals with the verification of the actions of drugs studied in the theoretical part of the course using isolated tissues from rodents and anaesthetized animals.
